D-cycloserine

I have been reading about a new treatment for conquering fears with D-cylcoserine.  It sounds very promising as an addition to exposure therapy.  Do you know anything about it?  I am also wondering how long it will take for this drug to be approved?

Any pharmaceutical (prescription or not) may help with controlling autonomic hypersensitivity but there is no such pharmaceutical that resolves the underlying emotions of embarrassment, shame, humiliation, and repressed and recycling anger. It's important to be clear about therapeutic goals. When we prescribe medicine it is for specific objectives; usually for a specific length of time. I am not familiar with D-cycloserine. Exposure is obviously a neccessary process for healing. The best way to do it is to develop a hierarchy of challenges from 1-10 and to go one step at a time integrating adrenaline control technique with "mind state balancing" -controlling emotions.
